Extremely enjoyable and very relaxing Positive: It was a really cosy cottage with ample space for two and a lovely welcome pack on arrival. Bamburgh was very accessible by foot. Negative: Car parking could have been better

A great location but the accommodation was a big disappointment! The cottage was much smaller than we anticipated. 2 cramped bedrooms with no storage space apart from a tiny hanging rail in each. I've got no idea where you would hang your clothes if staying for more than a weekend. No drawers, (other than bedside ones) to store anything either. The beds had a ridiculous amount of cushions on them and then no where to put them when we took them off. There was a 3rd "room" which was basically just a dumping ground for the cleaners. Could some drawers or a hanging rail be put in there and make better use of the space? The bathroom was dated, wobbly shelf above the basin and if you're taller than 5ft 7" beware of the beam above the bath or prepare to crouch down to have a shower! Water temperature very temperamental. On the plus side, made use of the hot tub and table tennis table.

Great cottage, warm cozy, would definitely stay here again. Positive: Hayloft Cottage was perfect for our two night stay in Bamburgh. The cottage was really cozy and the facilities were really good. Nice touch having the woodburner and the welcome pack from the host with some really lovely local goodies. Within walking distance to Bamburgh. Negative: There wasn't anything that I didn't like although the height of the shower and length of the beds could be a problem if you are over 5ft 11. The only thing I would comment on was that it wasn't clear to me when we booked that the hot tub and garden area were communal shared areas. There was no problem with this generally, but we were expecting our own hot tub and there was an issue in this area as people with dogs were not cleaning up after them and this area is also a children's play park. This wasn't the hosts fault but maybe sectioning off an area for dogs might be helpful.

Positive: Beautiful apartment, all the equipment in the kitchen you need, well presented and very homely, nice welcome pack, but remember to bring the other basics, would definitely stay here again Negative: Just remember to take your own cooking oil, salt, pepper etc though tea bags coffee, nice cheese, teas bags and milk are incljded

Mrs

We enjoyed our stay at Hayloft Cottage. I was surprised at the number of self catering cottages at the location as I thought there were only two. There is a lack of parking spaces for the amount of people catered for. The cottage itself was nice but the second bedroom is small for two people and there is little storage in it. The kitchen was well stocked but there was no room to keep food in the cupboards.
