The Duchess

Wow, what can I say a group of 8 ladies for our weekend away. The Duchess is an impressive cottage, the space and facilities are amazing, from the under floor heating and log fireplace to the fully equipped kitchen and bathrooms. The bedrooms were very spacious and really comfortable, the mattresses were clearly really good quality. We had a private chef to the property which had everything he needed to cook with. The other facilities on site were great too. The only thing was that the hot tub didn’t fit all 8 of us but this wasn’t a problem for us, the outdoor table and chairs were great and with fabulous weather was an added bonus. The welcome pack was a really lovely touch. We will definitely be back. Great experience all round

Great to be not far from Bamburgh, 20 minute walk. The Duchess had all we required (oven gloves - we were unable to find). Lovely en suite wet tooms, we had a bath too. Hot tub, log fire with gym and tennis table & court nearby - great fun. Plus a goodie bag too, thank you. Walks from the doorstep. Only comment is there wasn't enough gravelled parking outside the Duchess/Duke which meant we had to park on the grass as others took our spots. However we had a fabulous stay, well done Bamburgh First & North East Escapes. Hope to return.

Great with some niggles Positive: Great location, lodge well kitted out, plenty to do in the area Negative: Unfortunately both the fridge and freezer were not operating correctly. This ment we eventually had to dispose of over £100 worth of food that had spoiled. Also we were unable to access the property until 45+ mins after check in time as the cleaners were still on site.

Absolutely brilliant stay at fantastic accommodation. We were a group of 3 couples with 4 infants and everything was set up so well. The facilities were brilliant and well maintained and the accommodation was really well set out and allowed us to have an excellent week. The location was ideal to get out and explore what is a beautiful area.

just back from a great stay in The Duchess , the place is very spacious and benefits from 4 double/kingsize ensuites so great for us 4 couples , has everything and more you will need , beds so comfy, fab sunny garden and fab sunsets , walkable to Bamburgh too , highly recommended
