Spindlestone Cottage

Overall a very enjoyable experience and I would highly recommend. Positive: Brilliant location, house was very comfortable and cosy. The welcome pack had above and beyond goodies, including a free round of golf and a pound of free "bamburgh bangers" which my husband and son loved. Great idea to include local businesses. Negative: It was hard to locate the cottage from the road, it was hidden behind other buildings and the entrance was up a lane which was very tight for the car to turn into.

Lovely cottage in beautiful countryside. Dog friendly enclosed garden, sadly the weather wasn’t good during our stay so we didn’t get to make the most of it! Very well equipped kitchen and great extension with dining area. The welcome pack was a nice touch and we enjoyed the goodies in it!

We had a perfect stay at Spindlestone. It is a beautifully quiet location just a short drive from Bamburgh. The enclosed garden was perfect for our dog, with lovely quiet walks nearby. We were very lucky with the weather so spent a lot of time soaking up the sun in the garden and then looking at the stars through the glass roof in the kitchen/diner. Had it been raining, the cottage was so cosy, and the games room would definitely have been used! The cottage was immaculate, and the added touches were so lovely (little freebies for local places, and a gorgeous hamper of local supplies). The bed was probably the comfiest bed I've ever slept in! We would highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

Perfect for a short break. Positive: The quiet, the breadth of practical necessities, parking, proximately to the coast.
