Barn Cottage

We stayed at Barn cottage. Barn cottage is conveniently sited. We were part of a family group and occupied the larger bedroom with ensuite. The bed was comfortable but there was nowhere to store the many pillows on the bed. There was also nowhere to put clothing. An ottoman or similar could easily be fitted in but the worst feature was the dust everywhere, even on the tissue container on dressing table. The table tennis room was a nice feature but the dust in there was so bad there were large balls roĺling around, a bit like a spaghetti western. Spoilt our use of this facility. There was dust also on furniture in the living area. Very poor especially as a considerable charge is made for cleaning. Such a shame as otherwise a lovely holiday rental

Positive: Spacious building with good outlook and outside space. Negative: There is no phone signal at the property and the wifi only works in the main living room but not the 'summer room'

What a fab venue! Its position walking distance to Bamburgh and the space inside the house landed well to 5 families staying there. The beds were super comfortable and the linen crisp white cotton luxury. The kitchen equipment was very good and we ate in with ease, as well as enjoying some fabulous local restaurants. The conservatory leading on to the garden was such a bonus, especially with a dog. We didn’t use the shared activities this time but we did take advantage of two complimentary games of golf on the scenic Bamburgh castle course. Best to be aware that the WiFi only really worked in the lounge and one bedroom, especially if some work from home is necessary. Highly recommended!
