Lovely cottage Positive: Location and the cottage itself was very spacious Negative: Parking was very hit and miss which was annoying at times

This terraced house is in a perfect location in the main street in Bamburgh - just across the road from the wonderful Walled Garden with its beautiful play area, labyrinth and cafe, and it's just a 10 min walk down to the wonderful sandy beach. There were 6 of us - 5 adults and a child, and the living and dining areas space were just right. The induction hob was very efficient for cooking, though we struggled with the oven which is old. The two double rooms are small, with limited space to hang clothes. The downstairs shower room and toilet is also small, a bit damp, and has nowhere to hang towels. Fortunately it was dry weather and we could air towels outside and at night, hang them over the small clothes horse in the utility space. There is a wicker box in the entry hall containing buckets and spades, which we sadly didn't look in until we were leaving. All in all, we had a great time staying there. We had reason to contact Northern Escapes a couple of times and they were very responsive, courteous and helpful.

Would highly recommend Positive: Amazing location. Comfortable for 8 adults. Really good communication and a nice touch to help the good local businesses with vouchers.

Great cottage for a group stay in the middle of Bamburgh Positive: Spacious, clean, well-equipped house right in the middle of Bamburgh village. Four bedrooms and everything set up for a group stay. Ten minutes walk to the beach. Ten seconds to the butcher. Negative: Nothing significant.
