Great little stay
Overall this apartment is a great little place to stay while in Seahouses. We have a hatchback so we did not struggle to get in the carpark, but i can understand why a bigger car might. There were 2 of us and a dog, perfect size for our 4 day stay. There isnt much of a view but we weren't in the apartment much so was ok. It smelled a bit fusty, i believe maybe there was or is some damp somewhere perhaps. Things in the bedroom felt slightly damp when left in there But again, not a huge issue.
One thing that was an issue, was the fridge being broken. There was too much ice so the door wouldnt shut, therefore it leaked a lot, and it meant everything from the fridge was useless by the end of our stay and we had to throw it all. I saw someone else commented on this so maybe it needs looking at. I also think a curtain over the front door would be nice, it is glass and can be seen through so it feels very exposed to outside, and also you get a draught from there. Having to walk past once had a shower etc feels a little awkward.
But overall this is a great little place, quirky, easy to get around the local area, informative with the folder left, on site parking, amenities inside the apartment. Would definitely come back to Puffling Perch!

Perfect location in Seahouses, we wouldn't hesitate to recommend
Positive: This was a 1 bedroom self catering cottage for 2 people. It had a very well equipped kitchen, with everything you would need to make a good breakfast, lunch or evening meal. The bed was exceptionally comfy and very large, especially welcome after a long day of activities. There was also plenty room for clothes storage in the bedroom and a hair dryer is provided if you need one. The welcome information pack was really good and useful and the games and available books about Northumberland and the walking routes was a great idea. Parking outside the cottage was good, although be warned about the tight squeeze getting into the courtyard! The Starlings in the evening were great entertainment too. Location can not be faulted, easy access to everything in Seahouses and great views over the harbour. Definitely look out for the sunsets in the evening. We definitely choose to stay here again.
Negative: The cottage could have been cleaned a bit better before we arrived, especially in the bathroom and the sofa wasn't the most comfiest. The bedroom door is a bit stiff against the floor and the blinds could be better. Also better lighting in the bedroom for drying your hair in the mirror behind the bedroom door would have been helpful and not much privacy in the bedroom if someone is sitting outside cottage 6, unless you shut the blinds, but all just minor things really.

Negative: A bit difficult to find!

Good stay liked the cottage but felt it could benefit from a little decoration as looked a bit tired
Positive: The location for us as non drivers we found the bus service very limited and were unaware we had to book taxis in advance so missed out on a planned day trip to Bamburgh castle and village
Negative: Transport

Ok stay at Puffling Perch. Excellent position. Property on the small side for what it costs.
Positive: Excellent location.
Negative: Small bathroom. Little bit of mould and foundry smell in living room.
