The Retreat at Glenridge House

Best accommodation we've ever had. Positive: The property was superb. Everything provided in the apartment was of the highest quality and the grounds were beautiful. Our hosts were lovely and keen to make sure we had everything we needed but also gave us privacy and space. It made for an extremely relaxing holiday. Negative: I can't think of anything about the accommodation that could have been improved. You do need to rely on a car as there's no shop within easy walking distance although the trade off is the peace and quiet of the place.

Lovely property in a peaceful location. Positive: It was well equipped and had lovely bedding, towels and dressing gowns. Also provided slippers. The gardens were gorgeous and it was very peaceful. It was in a good location for us being only 30 minutes drive to many of the places we wanted to visit such as Lindisfarne, Bamburgh and Alnwick. The owner was also very friendly. Negative: Nothing. It was gorgeous.

Would recommend to anyone and wouldn't hesitate to rebook if in the area Positive: Stunning location with beautiful views. Facilities are amazing with all you can ask for Hosts are fantastic Negative: Nothing - however would suggest a fan be available as it was warm in the property at night ...

Excellent Positive: Everything really, spacious apartment with all the amenities you want, free use of the grounds secure location and in easy travel for Lindisfarne and Berwick, couldn’t be faulted, hosts were nice people as well and the doge are very friendly Negative: Nothing to dislike
